The new Liqui Moly Beta rider has missed the first half of the 2024 AMA Supercross series due to injury. But he is finally recovered and ready to make his BETA debut this weekend in Birmingham, Round 9.

During a practice session weeks before A1, Colt Nichols sustained a rotator cuff injury, which will see him miss the first eight rounds. Nichols was putting in practice laps in preparation for the upcoming Supercross season when the incident occurred. This setback came right before Beta Motorcycle Supercross’s debut.

Meanwhile, Nichol´s teammate Benny Bloss has been doing a great job for the brand as he has qualified in six 450SX Main Events so far, including tenth place last weekend in Daytona. Now with Nichols back onboard the team is expected to increase its goals and have two BETA riders in the next 450SX Main Events.

This is Nichols’s second season in the 450SX class after being awarded Rookie of the Year in 2023 as he ended 14th in the standings with two Top 5 and 9th overall in the SMX Finals.
