The 2023 Motocross of Nations will take place on October 7 & 9 in Ernee, France.
So far there aren´t as many teams confirmed as it supposed to be in this part of the year. In fact, Canada is just the second nation to reveal its rooster after Brazil.
The three riders announced for this year’s Motocross of Nations are Dylan Wright (MXGP), Ryder McNabb (MX2), and Jess Pettis (OPEN).
Dylan Wright – MXGP:

Honda´s Dylan Wright is the reigning MX1 Triple Crown series champ and the current championship leader as well. Last year, Wright won his fourth-straight MX1 title with a perfect season. He has some experience racing Grand Prix and AMA Motocross too. In terms of MXoN experience, Wright represented Canada twice in the last two years, both times being 12th overall in the MXGP class. This will be Wright´s third Motocross of Nations event.

Ryder McNabb – MX2:

Ryder McNabb is a rising star in the Canadian Motocross scene. The 17-years old won his first-career title last year in the Triple Crown series in the MX2 class with Honda. This year he signed with KTM Canada and is leading the championship en route to his second-straight title. McNabb competed in the first 2023 Moto Combine round in Red Bud and placed second overall with a 3-2 in motos. This will be the second year for McNabb to be in the Canadian team, as he debuted last year in Red Bud, helping Team Canada to place 15th overall.

Jess Pettis – OPEN:
Team: KTM Canada

Best personal result: 8th overall
Jess Pettis is a two-time MX2 Canadian champion and has plenty of experience riding in the United States. His first title Pro title came in 2018 in the MX2 class and then in 2020. Pettis currently rides for KTM Canada and sits second in the MX1 Triple Crown series behind Wright. This will be his second MXoN entry since Red Bud 2018, and the first in the Open class.

About Canada in the Motocross of Nations:
Canada has been part of the Motocross of Nations in 23 editions. The first time was back in 1964 in the Motocross of Nations of the 500cc class in Hawkstone Park, Great Britain. Since then the Team presence has been sporadic over the years. The best result as a team was an eight overall in Lierop (2004).
