It has been a complicated year for Belgium Brent Van Doninck. He started the season with some strong results like an eighth place overall in Sardegna followed by some good results in Trentino and Portugal before another eighth place came in France. But all of a sudden a dislocated hip suffered in Latvia end his season. Despite being sidelined since the second part of the calendar, the good news is Van Doninck secured a contract extension with JM Honda for another full year in the MXGP class.
Both parties are happy with the cooperation from this year and are aiming for even more success in the world championship in 2024. He has recovered well from this injury and is back on the bike to prepare himself for the new season!
Meanwhile, the JM Honda Team has signed an agreement with the young Dutchman Scott Smulders to race for them in the Grand Prix of Italy this weekend.
