BREAKING: Valentin Guillod to miss Lommel and Finland – Injury Update

MXPG Lombok - Indonesia 2023, Lombok Rider: Guillod

The Swiss rider will miss the next two rounds of the MXGP World Motocross Championship due to training injury.

So far, Guillod was enjoying a consistent season in the MXGP class sitting 9th in points. Unfortunately, the Ship to Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR got injured due to a practice crash and broke his shoulder blade.

We were in Berghem on Wednesday, and after two 20-minute sessions we went for a last session when I fell on my shoulder in a corner. When I got back on the bike I had some pain in my shoulder; I went for an x-ray which detected a fracture line on the scapula. The bones have not moved, so the doctors talked about 2/3 weeks off, which gives hope for a comeback in Sweden mid August. It’s not painful if I don’t move the arm. It’s frustrating because the feeling was good, I was really enjoying myself in the sand and I wanted to do a nice Grand Prix in Lommel to score another top 10.”
