BREAKING: Triumph confirms its first two riders for AMA Supercross

(Michael Shaw)

The long-awaited Triumph finally materialized for kicking the first-ever AMA Supercross season for the brand. A long list of riders came and went through the plans since the announcement of this new project, and we have the first two names for the 2024 season.

The first rider to be confirmed has been Joey Savatgy. The former 2017 250SX East Coast runner-up signed a two-year deal. Remember Triumph´s first season will be only focused on the 250 class, however, Savatgy has been allowed to step back into the class due to the new point-out rules.

Savatgy currently rides for Rick Ware Racing in the WSX series and sits second in the standings after the opening round in Birmingham.

The other rider confirmed is rookie Evan Ferry, son of the legend Tim Ferry. This move was expected as Evan was the first rider alongside Carmichael to introduce the brand on its first video. Also, he helped with the test during the development of the bike.

It´s also expected that Jalek Swoll will be joining the team once his contract with Rockstar Energy Husqvarna comes to an end last October. Also, there will be more names to come.
