Marc-Antoine Rossi, will miss the upcoming MXGP of Portugal on May 5th due to an injury sustained during the MX2 race at the MXGP of Trentino two weeks ago.
Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing MX2, Marc-Antoine Rossi, will sit out the upcoming MXGP of Portugal this weekend after suffering severe bruising and a hematoma on his left thigh due to a crash in the opening lap of the first moto in Trentino. The good news is Rossi does not require surgery and is undergoing physiotherapy at home in Corsica, aiming to recover in time for the MXGP of Galicia on May 12th.
“I’m really disappointed to miss the MXGP of Portugal. It’s always tough to be away from the track, especially when your team and fans are counting on you. Right now, my focus is on healing and getting back to racing as soon as possible. I am working closely with my medical team and following all their advice to ensure I come back strong as soon as possible. I want to thank everyone for their support and understanding during this time, especially my team, Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing, for standing by me. I’m determined to return better and stronger.”
In his first season in the MX2 class, the young Frenchman sits 10th in the championship standings after a great start finishing 7th in the opening GP in Argentina and then maintaining solid results in the following three rounds, which included 8th and 10th in Madrid and Riola Sardo, respectively.
