The team Japan will be behind the gate in United Kingdom and have confirmed the team that will be sending to represent the flag at the 2024 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Matterley Basin on the 4th, 5th and 6th of October.
The representative members are Yuki Okura, Kainosuke Oshiro and Haruki Yokoyama (HONDA Dream Racing LG/Honda CRF450R). The three-rider lineup is competing in the A1 class of the DID All Japan Motocross Championship. Okura and Yokoyama have experience competing in the MXoN, and this will be their second time representing Japan. On the other hand, this will be Oshiro´s first time at the Motocross of Nations.
The classes that each rider will compete in are currently being determined.
- Haruki Yokoyama has been competing in Australia for several years collecting excellent results. He sits second in the standings on his A1 rookie season in Japan.
- Yuki Okura (photo) is Yokoyama’s teammate in the official Honda HRC team. At the moment he is 4th in the championship. Okura competed at the Indonesia double-header MXGP rounds two weeks ago.
- Kainousuke Oshiro was Japanese champion in the 250 class in 2021 and currently one of the leading figures in the premier class. The Yamaha YSP Hamamtsu rider is 5th in the championship.
