Round 2 of the FIM World Supercross Championship is coming in hot this Saturday, November 15, live from BC Place in Vancouver, Canada. Below you’ll find all the key storylines, breaking news, the race schedule, current standings, and everything you need to follow the action properly.
The Big Attraction: Eli Tomac Is Back!
The headline of the weekend is, without question, Eli Tomac’s return.
Vancouver hosted the opening round last year, where Tomac dominated on his way to the SX1 world title. This time, the Colorado native is back at BC Place under very different circumstances: he’ll line up as a wildcard and make his racing debut with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. A year ago, this scenario would’ve sounded impossible… yet here we are.

Tomac sits at the top of the WSX all-time GP wins list with 4 victories, just one ahead of Ken Roczen (PMG Suzuki), who put on a clinic at the season opener in Buenos Aires last weekend.
Can Roczen match Tomac’s record, or will ET3 deliver a dream debut on the orange machine?
One interesting side note: this will be the first-ever appearance of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in the WSX series. The Austrian brand hasn’t been involved since the brief—and ultimately unrealized—MDK Motorsport project.
SX2: Anstie vs McElrath
In the SX2 class, all eyes will once again be on Max Anstie (GSM Yamaha powered by Star Racing). The Brit was simply untouchable in Argentina, and he heads into Vancouver as the clear favorite. But reigning champion Shane McElrath (Quad Lock Honda) isn’t letting go of that #1 plate without a fight—expect these two to set the tone in every gate drop.

The crowd will also have two hometown heroes to cheer for: Cole Thompson (Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki) and Noah Viney (Motoconcepts Honda). Thompson narrowly missed the podium at the opening round, while Viney flashed serious speed throughout the night. With the Canadian fans behind them, both riders could play a much bigger role in the Vancouver storyline.
In other news, the Quad Lock Honda squad will feature a new face this weekend as Australian Wilson Todd steps in to replace Anthony Bourdon, who chose to prioritize his participation at the 42nd Supercross of Paris. More details here.
