The third round of the WMX Pro Motocross series took place at Thunder Valley under a revised one-moto format. Rainy conditions on Friday forced the cancellation of the original schedule, with racing rescheduled for Saturday – slotted in right after the 250 Class moto.
Altus Motorsports BLU CRU Yamaha rider Lachlan Turner kept her momentum rolling, claiming her second win of the season. Turner made an early pass on Australian Charli Cannon (Quad Lock Honda), who then settled into second and held the position to the finish.
Behind them, Mikayla Nielsen (SRL Honda) and Kyleigh Stallings (Team Green Monster Energy Kawasaki) waged a race-long battle for third. In a dramatic final-lap twist, the two riders made contact and crashed simultaneously. Jordan Jarvis (ROTE Racing Yamaha) took advantage of the chaos to secure the final podium spot. Nielsen remounted to finish fourth, while Stallings crossed the line in sixth behind Jamie Astudillo (Pasion MX KTM).
With the win, Turner now leads the championship by 13 points over Nielsen as the series reaches its halfway mark—three rounds down, three to go. The WMX series returns at Ironman Raceway on August 8th.
