Daniela Guillén enjoyed a perfect weekend at Teutschenthal by winning both races of the second round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship.
The Spaniard claimed victory in Saturday’s opening race after a late battle with defending champion Lotte Van Drunen, who crashed twice and eventually dropped off the podium. Kiara Fontanesi finished second ahead of Courtney Duncan.
Guillén then completed a dominant 1-1 on Sunday, leading from the opening lap to the checkered flag. Fontanesi secured another second-place finish, while Shana van der Vlist completed the podium.
With the overall victory, Guillén strengthens her position at the top of the championship standings. Van Drunen’s difficult weekend leaves the reigning champion facing a significant points deficit with only three rounds remaining.
