Both WILDCAT Race Team riders Lorenzo Locurcio and Nick Laurie will make the trip to Detroit for the first round of the 2024 250SX East Coast Championship.
It’s time to kick off 2024 for WILDCAT Race Team with the opening round of the 250SX East Coast! This will be the first-ever SX race for the team after making a huge impact as the best privateer last year in the AMA Pro Motocross series. Now is the time to show the same ambition this Saturday, February 3, under the lights of the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

Lorenzo Locurcio returns to supercross after spending the last 3 years competing in EMX250 and MXGP in Europe. As far as Supercross is concerned, Locurcio has a wealth of experience backed by multiple Top 10 throughout his career. But despite his experience, this will be a whole new season for the Venezuelan as he is now a rider and team owner. However, is super motivated to face this new challenge.
American Nick Laurie will make his professional debut at the start of the East Coast. He recently raced overseas to gain extra motivation for this weekend.
Lorenzo Locurcio #60: “I´m very excited to get back on the routine again. This year the preseason was a little atypical for me as this is the first time I will be a rider and a team owner at the same time, but I´m excited to race this weekend in Detroit. The plan is to get better week after week until reach my best form.”
Nick Laurie #526: “Yeah I’m feeling good I had good pre season and I’m happy with the opportunity to race for Wildcat this year, I got the opportunity to race overseas Before making my debut here so I think that’ll play into our advantage.”
