Rounds 10 and 11 of the AMA Arenacross Championship were held in Prescott Valley, Arizona, February 8-9, for the penultimate stop on the 2025 tour. Vince Friese ended up clinching the title with one round still to go in the 2025 championship.

The final round of AMA Arenacross takes place on February 28 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

FRIDAY | ROUND 10

Friday night’s round 10 saw some racing action, as Ryan Breece holeshotted race one and took off with one of his best starts of the season. Friese and Austin Politelli ran in close formation behind Breece for the first half of the race. Friese continued to apply pressure to his MCR teammate and eventually snuck past for the lead through the main rhythm section. The points leader, Friese, managed the gap and rode away to the win, keeping Breece and Politelli behind him at the checkers.

Main number two saw Politelli grab the start with Friese and Breece closely in tow. Politelli looked comfortable at the front and held Friese at bay as they negotiated their way through lapped traffic. Politelli seemed impatient and slammed another rider out of the way, which opened the door for Friese to make a pass for the lead. It was smooth sailing from there as Friese cruised to the win, going 1-1 on the night. Breece passed for second with 2-2 results on Friday. Politelli’s 3-3 earned him third overall.

Round 10 Highlights

ROUND 11 | SATURDAY

After a few track updates for night two, the riders were set for another go at two main events. Politelli looked for redemption as he started first in main number one with Friese right behind. Friese needed to keep his teammate Breece behind him for a shot at the title on Saturday night, and his race went according to plan, as he snuck around Politelli, using the same line as he did on night one. Even with a lapper-induced mistake late in the race, Friese held the top spot and crossed the line with the win over Breece and Politelli.

Breece had a point to prove in race two as he grabbed the start and rocketed away from the rest of the field. Friese only needed to finish fifth or better in the second main event to win the title, and the number 66 Honda rider put it on cruise control back in third place with Politelli running second. The running order stayed the same throughout the main event, with Breece taking a convincing win and the overall with 2-1 finishes.

Friese claimed second with 1-3 scores and clinched the championship. Politelli’s 3-2 put him third for the night.

“It’s been a lot of hard work for a lot of years,” Friese said. “I’m just pumped to do it for these guys [MotoConcepts Honda]. They’ve probably put 15 years of work into me and getting me here. I owed them this.”
