The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team has seen a lot of changes over the past week. The initial five-rider roster was announced on January 7, with Levi Kitchen and Garrett Marchbanks set to compete in the 250SX West Region, and Ty Masterpool, Cameron McAdoo, and Seth Hammaker in the 250SX East Region. However, Kitchen fell ill just before the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season opener. As a result, he missed all of Friday’s media activities and attempted to ride during Saturday’s free practice, but unfortunately, it didn’t go well.
Before qualifying even began, Kitchen and the team decided to move him to the 250SX East Region. Since he didn’t qualify for the Night Show, his eligibility for the 250SX East Region remains intact. The #47 rider then returned home to refocus and prepare for the upcoming Tampa Supercross on February 8.
Masterpool will make his season debut this weekend alongside Marchbanks. While Masterpool has expressed his excitement about racing Supercross in recent months, his main goal is to position himself as a serious championship contender when the AMA Pro Motocross Championship kicks off in late May.
