Team Germany Set for 2025 Motocross of Nations

MXoN 2023 Ernee, France Rider:

Long awaited and now officially confirmed: Ken Roczen will be the third rider of Team Germany for the 2025 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, taking place on October 4–5 at the legendary “Ironman Raceway” in Indiana (USA). With Ken Roczen (MXGP), Simon Längenfelder (MX2) and Maximilian Spies (Open), Team Germany is now complete.

MXGP: Ken Roczen

This year, 31-year-old Roczen also obtained U.S. citizenship in addition to his German nationality, which would have made him eligible to ride for Team USA as well. However, following his recovery from injury, Roczen has now confirmed his participation for Germany. Last weekend, the superstar showed impressive speed in his comeback race at the U.S. Pro Motocross Championship. Roczen won the MXGP individual classification at the 2023 MXoN in France and knows the Ironman Raceway very well.

“I am excited to be a part of Team Germany again for the 2025 Motocross of Nations. Obviously it is a super special event, you represent your country and it is also really cool to have it back in the USA here, close to my home. I am excited to race at Ironman. It is a really technical track. It will be good to line up with the MXGP guys and other racers from around the world once again. Hoping to do well, I will give it everything I have. I have great teammates and we have a strong team going into 2025, so let’s get it going,”

OPEN: Max Spies

For the first time, the team management has selected Spies to race in the most prestigious MX event of the year.

The 21-year-old Spies has been part of the German national squad several times but has now been selected for the race team for the first time. The Becker Racing rider recently showcased his fast pace by winning last weekend’s ADAC MX Masters race in Gaildorf, but also has proven his endurance, fighting spirit, and ability to handle the challenging conditions of the World Championship by putting in solid performances in his occasional MXGP starts.

MX2: Simon Langenfelder

Simon Längenfelder will represent Germany in the MX2 class, marking his fifth appearance in the most important motocross race of the year.

The Red Bull KTM Factory rider currently leads the MX2 World Championship with five overall GP wins.

«It’s always a fantastic event: huge, unique, and full of passionate fans. I’m really looking forward to racing on the big, fast American tracks and can’t wait to race at Ironman Raceway.»
