Ryan Alexanderson to contest Australia MX2 Championship

Ryan Alexanderson

After a year competing in the EMX250 series with WZ Racing KTM, Aussie talent Ryan Alexanderson isn’t allowed back into Europe at the moment due visa issues. However, it has now been confirmed that Alexanderson has signed with Empire Kawasaki to take on the MX2 Aussie championship.

«Regrettably, due to an issue with an overstayed visa, I am currently unable to return overseas to re-join my team at this stage in the process, for the upcoming season. I would like to take this time to thank the whole WZ Racing for the opportunity I have been given. I will be forever grateful and appreciative for time I got to spend with such great people.»

RYAN ALEXANDERSON TO EMPIRE KAWASAKI

Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki has drafted in Ryan Alexanderson to make up the team’s MX2 effort in the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship, stepping in as a late entry while Cambell Williams continues his recovery.

Recent Empire recruit Williams resumed riding this month after breaking his femur during last season’s AUSX series, but has opted to sit out round one to prioritise his recovery.

While Alexanderson has been called upon to fill the vacant MX2 spot, it remains unclear whether he is a short-term substitute or a direct replacement for Williams as the season unfolds. It’s also uncertain when the latter will be fit to return.

With the championship set to get underway next weekend in Wonthaggi, the Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki squad will see Alexanderson join MX1 front-runner Luke Clout and MXW contender Taylah McCutcheon.
