The Dutchman started the 2024 season with Fantic Racing. However, the relationship ended quickly as Roan got a knee injury during the International of Hawkstone Park, and because of that he and Fantic parted ways.
The roller-coaster situation continued for Van de Moosdijk once he signed a fill-in deal with HRC that went no longer than two rounds due injury.
“Fill-in rider Roan van de Moosdijk and Team HRC have mutually ended their relationship after further check-ups on the Dutch rider’s knee have revealed that it would be unwise for the #39 to race in the immediate future. Instead, v/d Moosdijk will take all the time necessary to recover from this issue, and then hopefully come back to the MXGP world championship where he can then give it 100%.” wrote HRC on a press release back in April just after the MXGP of Trentino.
Now a new opportunity emerged for Roan in the form of the German-based team Kosak Racing KTM. Roan will be starting in the fifth round of the ADAC MX Masters in Tensfeld on July 13 & 14 and then he will compete in selected MXGP rounds.
