Elzinga is part of Yamaha’s official factory team for the second year in a row, which is now in the hands of the Hutten Metaal Yamaha team. This team has had great success since they became the factory team of Yamaha because in addition to the Dutch Masters title with Rick Elzinga, Elzinga also managed to win the EMX250 title in the same year.

Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing also won the EMX250 title with Thibault Benistant and last year with Andrea Bonacorsi. This year they operate under the name Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing MX2 and are the official Yamaha team in the MX2 class.

In 2023, Rick Elzinga was in full battle with Kay de Wolf for the Dutch Masters title. After two races, he was in second place in the standings, just eight points behind de Wolf. Before the last race in Oldebroek, however, he suffered an injury that prevented him from participating and eventually he finished fourth in the final standings.

For 2024, Elzinga is eager for revenge and will do everything in his power to score high!

The Dutch Masters of Motocross 2024 is fast approaching. The first race is already on March 17 in Harfsen, followed by Oldebroek on April 1 and the grand finale will be held on April 21 at the circuit of Markelo.
