The 2024 Australian Supercross series kicked-off with a double-header round at the Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe, Queensland. The first night of racing saw a perfect start for reigning champ Dean Wilson from Honda Australia as he won both motos, while in the SX2 class Noah Ferguson, also a Honda rider, emerged with the overall win through the chaos with a 1-5 moto scores. Night 2, however, saw Americans Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath taking redemption as they took the high honours in their respective classes.

Also, Savatgy and McElrath calim the red plates heading Wollongong for Round 3 of the calendar on November 2.
Dean Wilson won the opning race after a great battle against Savatgy and Clout. In Race 2 Savatgy made an early move over Clout in order to take the lead and pulled away. At the end, Savatgy win the overall via 2-1, followed by Empire Kawasaki´s Luke Clout (1-3) and Wilson rounded the podium (3-2).
In the SX2 class, McElrath controlled both races after taking the early lead ove his teamamte Alex Larwood. Canadian Cole Thompson (3-2) and Larwood (2-3) filled the podium on which was a 1-2-3 podium for Honda Australia. Round 1 winner Noah Ferguson struggles and finish 10-14 for 13th overall. McElrath claim the championship lead by 2 points over Thompson.
