Race Results: Spanish Motocoss – Round 1 Talavera

The 2025 Spanish Motocross season kicked off on Sunday, January 2nd, at the former MXGP track in Talavera de la Reina. Due to rainy weather, both the time qualifying and race qualifying sessions were canceled.

Yamaha Ausio´s Ander Valentin starts on top after winning both motos. Valentin dominate Race 1, and finished 2nd in Race 2, but race winner Jose Butron was docked five position for jumping on a waving yellow flag. This gave to Valentin a perfect 50 points score to kick off the series.

Rookie Gerard Congost finished 2nd overall via 2-2, as Simeo Ubach rounded the podium with a 5-3 results.

The MX2 class saw a clash between MX2 World Championship riders Oriol Oliver from KTM Spain and Guillem Farres from Monster Energy Triumph Factory Racing. In the first moto, Farres led almost the entire race but had a small crash in the final lap that allows Oliver to claim the win. Farres teamamte Camden McLellan finished 3rd.

Second moto was a great battle between Oliver and Farres, with the KTM Spain rider holding the pressure until the last lap en route to a perfect 1-1. Farres finished 2nd overall via 2-2 and Samuel Nilsson (Jezyk Triumph) claim 3rd overall via 4-3. McLellan had a terrible start making all his way from the lasts spots to 5th.
