Herlings Claims Sixth Dutch Masters Crown in Halle
Jeffrey Herlings secured his sixth Dutch Masters of Motocross title at the season finale in Halle, adding another prestigious trophy to his impressive résumé. The Honda HRC Petronas rider claimed the overall victory with a consistent 2-1 scorecard, reclaiming the crown from Kawasaki’s Romain Febvre, who finished second overall after posting 1-2 results in the motos. Completing the podium was Herlings’ teammate Pauls Jonass, who delivered a solid and consistent 3-3 performance.
The event also marked the debut of Jeremy Seewer with the Van Venrooy KTM team. The Swiss rider finished 14th and 6th in the motos during his first outing aboard the Austrian machine and will now turn his attention to a potential return to the MXGP paddock next weekend at Foxhill.
In the MX2 category, Liam Everts (Nestaan Husqvarna) dominated the day with a flawless 1-1 sweep to secure the overall victory. However, the championship title went to Monster Energy Yamaha’s Karlis Reisulis, whose consistent 2-2 finishes were enough to clinch the crown ahead of his brother and teammate Janis Reisulis, who completed the event with a pair of third-place finishes.
