Race Results: 2024 Round 7 Spanish Motocross – Calatayud

Jose Antonio Butron and Gerard Congost wrapped-up the MX1 and MX2 titles at the final round of the 2024 Spanish Motocross Championship in Calatayud. Butron, from TRT KTM Motorcycle team, finished 2nd overall behind Honda HRC Ruben Fernandez who sweep both motos. As for Congost, the Mequitec GasGas is now two times MX2 champion in big fasion as he took the highest step of the podium with a 2-1 score.

Butron´s title is the sixteen at domestic level.

Muddy conditions suited perfect for Fernandez who took both moto wins. Meanwhile, Jose Butron secure the title at the end of the first moto in which he ended 4th, but in moto 2 the spaniard crossed the finish line in second place to get 2nd overall. Yamaha Ausio´s Ander Valentin rounded the podium via 3-3, but finished as a runner-up in the final standings.

Gerard Congost fought until the end to take home the MX2 title and the overall as well. The young Spaniard finished 2-1, followed by Adria Monne (1-2) and the rookie Elias Escandell who rounded the podium via 3-3. This positions were the same in the final standings.
