Unfortunately Oriol Oliver and the BTS KTM team are parting ways after three Grand Prix.
Oliver sits 13th in the MX2 Motocross World Championship standings after finishing in the Top 10 in four races (including two qualifying races). Last Sunday, March 30, he confirmed his great form by finishing 3rd in the first round of the Dutch Masters series at Harfsen.
Despite the good results and the flashes of speed in each GP, Oliver has confirmed his separation from the BTS KTM team due to the financial difficulties that the Dutch based team is going through due to the last minute withdrawal of one of the main sponsors. A situation that has directly affected Oliver at a crucial moment in his career, as he is in his last year of eligibility in the MX2 category due to the age limit of 23 years old.
«Hello everyone. This isn’t the message I’d like to be writing, but right now it’s a reality. My team and I had to part ways because a last minute drop of one of the main sponsors, and right now I find myself free, without a team. Although it’s not easy, I remain fully motivated and I’m not going to throw in the towel. This dream remains intact and I’ll put every part of me on this. I thank the team for the support this months.»
