Great Britain has confirmed the lineup with which it will defend its colors on home soil, on October 4, 5, and 6 at Matterley Basin.

Tommy Searle currently competes in the MX2 class of the British ACU, but the Kawasaki DirtStore rider will be riding a 450 to lead the team in the MXGP class. This will be Searle’s thirteenth appearance since his debut in 2006, also held in Matterley Basin.

The OPEN seat will belong to the reigning British MX1 champion and three-time MX2 champion, Conrad Mewse. The Crendon Fasttrack Tru7 Honda Racing rider is in top form and proof of this is the close battle for the British MX1 title that he has against Jeffrey Herligns, whom he managed to beat on a couple of occasions this season.

Rounding out the team is Max Anstie in MX2 on a Star Racing Yamaha. Anstie has fond memories at Matterley Basin, as he posted an incredible 1-1 finish at the 2017 edition that earned his team the third step on the podium for the first time since 1994. Anstie is coming off multiple Top 10 finishes between the AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross series.
