Round 18 of the MXGP World Championship is taking place at Afyonkarahisar, Turkiye.
Tim Gajser wins his eight Qualifying Race, extending the points lead to 19 over Jorge Prado who crossed the line in second place. Jeffrey Herlings led seven laps before being passed and finished 3rd.
In the MX2 class, Liam Everts takes his third Qualifying Race win after passing Lucas Coenen in the opening lap. Mikkel Haarup, who was the fastest in both Free Practice and Time Practice, finished in a solid third place. On the other hand, Red-Plate holder Kay de Wolf had a big crash in the final lap, finishing ninth.
Meanwhile, the WMX Championship title will be decided Tomorrow. Courtney Duncan won the opening moto over Daniela Guillen and Kiara Fontanesi. Lotte Van Drunen crossed the finish line in 4th place, and now heading to the final moto she is 13 points over Daniela.
