MXGP of Galicia 2024 Highlights: Jorge Prado back on top on home soil!

MXPG Galicia 2024, Lugo Rider: Prado

After a nightmare day a week ago in the mud of Agueda (Portugal) which cost him the red plate, the Spaniard retaliated with a perfect win on his home soil in Lugo. The reigning champ won each moto including the Qualifying Race on Saturday en route to his fifth win in six Grand Prix and reclaimed the red plate by 2 points over Tim Gajser.

In the MX2 class, Lucas Coenen finally won his first overall of the season with a 1-4 in motos. The Neestan Husqvarna rider struggled in the first race, but in Race 2 he pulled out from the rest of the pack after taking the holeshot. He still had a lot of work to do as he sits fifth in the standings 92 points behind teammate Kay de Wolf who keeps the red plate despite not being on the podium.
