Meanwhile, in the MX2 class, Kay de Wolf (Nestaan Husqvarna) claimed his second qualifying race win of the season, capitalizing on a mistake by teammate Liam Everts, who had been comfortably leading until a crash took him out of contention. According to De Wolf, Everts fortunately avoided any serious injuries.
