MXGP of Arnhem: Saturday Highlights – Glenn Coldenhoff makes history for Fantic

A thrilling first day at the MXGP of Arnhem saw the historic triumph of Fantic rider Glenn Coldenhoff in the Qualifying Race. The Dutchman took the early lead and led every lap keeping Romain Febvre 2nd and Jorge Prado 3rd at bay until the checkered flag. This is the first win for the Italian brand Fantic in MXGP history.

Jeffrey Herlings and Tim Gajser charged from behind to finish 4th and 5th respectively.

Antonio Cairoli showed good speed as he rode fourth in the first stages of the race until finished in a respectable seventh place behind Calvin Vlaanderen.

Lucas Coenen dominates the MX2 Qualifying Race, but his teammate and title rival Kay de Wolf stole the show as he made all his way up from a first turn pileup to 2nd. Liam Everts 3rd. For the first time in the season Simon Langenfelder couldn´t score points in a Qualy Race after finished 13th due to a bad start.
