Who is IN and who is OUT for the fifth round of the MXGP Motocross World Championship?

After a two-week break, the MXGP Motocross World Championship kicks back into life with the MXGP of Portugal at the stunning Crossódromo Internacional de Águeda in the northwestern part of the country. It will be the first race back for some riders after sustained injuries, while others will continue sidelined. Meanwhile, Rossi, Koch, and Brumann have joined this list due to recent injuries.

Mattia Guadagnini #101 | Shoulder blade | IN: The Neestan Husqvarna rider broke his shoulder blade at the International of Sommieres (France) on February 18th and has been sidelined since then. Now it seems finally ready to return and join the rest of the pack this weekend.

Ferruccio Zanchi #73 | Banged up | OUT: . Zanchi missed the last two rounds due to a practice crash in Croatia. It was decided that another weekend on the sidelines was the best course of action, just to give his shoulder the best possible chance of being 100% as we start to approach the busy part of the calendar.

Roan van de Moosidjk #39 | Knee | OUT: Fill-in rider Roan Van De Moosdijk and Team HRC have mutually ended their relationship after further check-ups on the Dutch rider’s knee have revealed that it would be unwise for the #39 to race in the immediate future. Instead, v/d Moosdijk will take all the time necessary to recover from this issue

Samuel Nilsson #368 | Banged up | IN: The Spanish rider was expected to debut in the MX2 class after he put all the pieces together to build his own program to compete in the European GPs. Unfortunately, a crash during the third round of the Spanish Motocross postponed those plans. But fortunately, he is ready and fit to race this weekend in Agueda after winning the fourth round of the Spanish Championship in Sanlucar.

Marc-Antoine Rossi #28 | Hematoma | OUT: : Red Bull GASGAS will sit out the upcoming MXGP of Agueda-Portugal due to injuries from a high-impact crash during the opening lap at the MXGP of Trentino. The accident left Rossi with deep bruising and a hematoma on his left thigh, sidelining him for this weekend. Rossi does not require surgery, and is undergoing physiotherapy at home in Corsica, aiming to recover in time for the MXGP of Galicia on May 12th.

Kevin Brumann #87 | Concussion | OUT: The Swiss rider suffered a concussion due to a big crash at the opening round of the ADAC MX Masters in Drehna. Nevertheless, he tried to ride in Dreetz for round 2, but further examinations revealed a concussion. Burmann has decided to skip the MXGP of Agueda – Portugal.

Tom Koch #226 | Vertebra | OUT: Tom Koch: Koch will miss the next three Grand Prix: Portugal, Galicia and France, due to a three broken lumbar vertebra in Trentino.

Bradley Mesters #75 | Shoulder | OUT: The young Dutchman had a big crash in the third moto of the Youngster Cup class in Dreetz, resulting on a shoulder injury. He will miss the third round of the EMX250 series.
