Lopes Brasil 26 round 4

The MX1 Brazilian Grand Prix held its fourth round of the season this weekend in Cuiabá, on a date marked by an unusual schedule: the MX2 and MX1 heats were held in the afternoon, while the finals took place under floodlights at 10 p.m. local time.

Enzo Lopes continued his dominant run in the MX1 GP Brasil by claiming his fourth consecutive overall victory in Cuiabá. The Honda Brasil rider secured the win with consistent 2-1 moto scores and further strengthened his championship lead.

Glenn Coldenhoff impressed with a spectacular comeback win in the opening moto, charging from sixth position to overtake Lopes late in the race. The Dutchman followed it up with a third place in moto two to finish second overall (1-3).

Jeremy Van Horebeek completed the podium with consistent finishes throughout the day. The Belgian went 3-2 for third overall after battling Lopes for the lead during the night moto.

In the championship standings, Lopes now holds a 31-point advantage over Coldenhoff.

MX2: Salvador Perez takes a perfect 1-1

Salvador Pérez returned to winning form in emphatic fashion by sweeping both motos in Cuiabá. The Mexican rider dominated moto one with a winning margin of more than 30 seconds before backing it up with another standout performance in the combined MX1/MX2 race, where he finished ninth overall against the premier-class riders.

Henrique Henicka secured second overall with 2-3 moto finishes, while Chilean rider Benjamin Garib rounded out the podium thanks to a strong second-place finish in the final moto.

With his third perfect 1-1 result of the season, Pérez extended his championship lead to 20 points over Henicka.
