LIVE NOW: Follow MX1 GP Brazil Rounds 7 & 8 from Santa Cruz

After a month-long break, the MX1 GP Brazil Championship is back in action this weekend in Santa Cruz with a double-header featuring Rounds 7 and 8 of the season. The MX1 and MX2 classes will hit the track on Friday for Round 7 before returning on Sunday for Round 8.

Championship battles are heating up as the season enters a crucial stage. In MX1, Enzo Lopes (Honda Brasil) continues to lead the standings, but his advantage has been cut significantly following Glenn Coldenhoff’s (Yamaha C6 Bank IMS) victory in the previous round. The Dutch rider reduced the gap from 31 to 18 points and arrives in Santa Cruz with momentum firmly on his side.

The fight for third is equally intense, with Jeremy Van Horebeek (Honda Brasil) and Greg Aranda (595 Pro Tork KTM) tied on points heading into the weekend.

In MX2, Salvador Pérez (Yamaha Monster Energy Geração) remains in control of the championship. The Spaniard has won eight of the twelve motos contested so far and holds a comfortable 42-point lead over Henrique Henicka (595 Pro Tork KTM).
