The 2026 ADAC MX Masters crowned two new champions this weekend at Vellahn, where Roan van de Moosdijk and Nicolai Skovbjerg secured their respective titles with one round still remaining in the season.
Van de Moosdijk back-to-back MX Masters Title
After winning the previous two rounds, Van de Moosdijk arrived in Vellahn with a commanding 70-point advantage and focused on doing exactly what was required to wrap up the championship as early as possible.
The Dutch rider opened the weekend with a strong second-place finish in Saturday’s race before repeating the result in Sunday’s opening moto. In the final race, Van de Moosdijk quickly moved into second position behind Jorgen-Matthias Talviku and spent several laps applying pressure to the Estonian before adopting a more conservative approach in the closing stages.
Three consecutive runner-up finishes proved more than enough to mathematically secure the title and complete a remarkably consistent championship campaign.
The championship is the second ADAC MX Masters title of Van de Moosdijk’s career and makes him the second Dutch rider to win the series since Glenn Coldenhoff lifted the crown in 2015.
While Van de Moosdijk celebrated the championship, the overall victory in Vellahn belonged to Talviku. The Yamaha rider claimed the first ADAC MX Masters race win of his career on Saturday and carried that momentum into Sunday, sweeping all three motos for a perfect 1-1-1 scorecard.
Jere Haavisto completed the overall podium with finishes of 3-4-3.
Skovbjerg continues his rise with Youngster Cup title
The Youngster Cup (250) championship was decided in favor of Nicolai Skovbjerg, who continues to establish himself as one of the most promising riders in European motocross.
Currently sitting second in the EMX250 Championship, the Danish rider arrived in Vellahn carrying the momentum of victories at the previous three rounds and quickly put the title beyond doubt.
Racing for SixtySeven Husqvarna, Skovbjerg collected his tenth moto win of the season on Saturday before taking a more measured approach on Sunday. Finishes of third and second were enough to secure second overall for the weekend and, more importantly, the championship.
The round victory went to Gyan Doensen after an impressive 1-2-2 performance aboard his GabrielSS24 KTM, while Sebastian Leok completed the podium with scores of 6-2-5.
For Skovbjerg, the title represents another major milestone in a season that is strengthening his credentials as a future MX2 World Championship contender. It is also the second consecutive Youngster Cup title won by a Danish rider following Mads Fredsoe’s success in 2025 and the third in the category’s history after Thomas Kjer Olsen’s championship-winning campaign in 2014.
