The 54th edition of the Mini O’s — one of the most prestigious amateur championships in the United States — once again took place at the iconic Gatorback Cycle Park in Florida. Over a full week of racing, thousands of riders battled across more than forty classes. The event ran from November 22 to 29, with the first three days dedicated to supercross and the remaining days to motocross.

As always, the spotlight was on the 250 Pro Sport and 450 Pro Sport classes, which bring together the top amateur talents on the verge of turning professional. Mini O’s also plays a key role in earning points toward AMA licensing.

This year stood out for its competitiveness — a stark contrast to the previous three editions dominated by standout riders like Haiden Deegan, Daxton Bennick, and Caden Dudney. In 2025, parity was the theme throughout the week.

Supercross: Johnson & Denno Shine

In supercross, Kade Johnson, making his debut with Team Green Kawasaki, captured both the 250 Pro Sport and 450 Pro Sport titles, solidifying his status as one of the brightest rising stars.

In 250 A, Deacon Denno — also debuting with Triumph Factory Racing’s amateur program — took the Main Event win, reinforcing his status as a major prospect in the class.

Motocross: Redemption for Wood & Haarup wins

Poor starts made supercross a challenge for Carson Wood, but the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha recruit bounced back in motocross, claiming the 250 Pro Sport title.

The class also featured a special guest: former MXGP rider Mikkel Haarup, who raced the event as part of Triumph’s 450 development program ahead of their 2026 launch. The Danish rider finished 2nd in 250 Pro Sport and won the 450 Pro Sport title with a strong 2-1 score. Short motos and inconsistent starts played in favor of the amateurs, but Haarup still showed his experience.

B Classes: Prueitt Dominates

In the B division, Tristan Prueitt emerged as one of the standout names of the week, earning both 250 (SX & MX) titles along with the 450 B Supercross championship. His only interruption came from Mexican rider Alessandro Carminati, who won the 450 B Motocross title.

Women: Van Drunen Untochable

Reigning WMX World Champion Lotte Van Drunen was unstoppable at Gatorback. She dominated both supercross and motocross in the Women’s class and even qualified into higher divisions such as 250 B Limited and 450 B, proving her level is far above the amateur standard.
