Unfortunately, the long trip to Indonesia came to an end soon for Mikkel Haarup. The Dane rider suffered a crash during Saturday qualifying day last weekend in the first stop of the Indonesia Trip at Sumbawa, round 10 of the 2023 MXGP season. Further evaluations confirmed a broken collarbone.
Haarup was having a solid campaign in the MX2 class so far. Two weeks ago he earned his best-season result with a 5th overall in Teustenchal, Germany.
With Haarup sidelined and Spaniard Oriol Oliver back in Europe waiting to set his return at Loket, the WZ Racing KTM team will run out of representation.
