De Baets AIT Racing Yamaha have confirmed their separation from Lotte van Drunen after three seasons together, while also revealing that the team are evaluating their future in the paddock. The Dutch rider leaves the team after securing back-to-back WMX World Championship titles in 2024 and 2025.

The announcement comes amid uncertainty surrounding Yamaha’s European racing structure, following the manufacturer’s recent confirmation of a restructuring of its MXGP programme, including its involvement in the European championships. The full scope of these changes has yet to be revealed, leaving questions over whether De Baets AIT Racing will remain part of Yamaha’s plans moving forward.

The two-time WMX World Champion is expected to continue competing in the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, while also targeting selected rounds of the AMA WMX Championship in the United States.

While Van Drunen prepares for her next move, the future of De Baets AIT Racing Yamaha remains uncertain.
