Kay de Wolf has confirmed that he will not compete this weekend in the second round of the Dutch Motocross Championship. The Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing rider had been experiencing discomfort in his thumb since the first round of the championship, although it was eventually confirmed that the injury affects the thumb opposite the one he had previously had surgery on.
After undergoing further medical examinations, a partial ligament tear in the thumb was detected, which is why the reigning MX2 world champion will be forced to miss the race in Harfsen. Even so, de Wolf hopes to return for the third round of the Dutch Masters and assured that his participation in the next round of the MXGP World Championship in France is not in jeopardy.
