Scary Finish Line Crash Involving Kay de Wolf and Valerio Lata
Kay de Wolf suffered a massive crash over the finish line jump just as the checkered flag was waved to end the timed qualifying session of Round 12 of the MXGP World Championship at Matterley Basin.
Unfortunately, Valerio Lata—already airborne and with no time to react—crashed hard into the downed Husqvarna machine. The impact was unavoidable and violent.
Lata was immediately taken to the medical center for evaluation, surrounded by concerned Honda team members, all visibly shaken by the incident. It was a frightening moment that left the paddock in shock.
