The Red Bull TLD Ducati rider will compete in the final three rounds of the AMA Supercross season, starting this Saturday in Philadelphia.

Justin Barcia was one of the riders chosen to lead Ducati’s project in its debut AMA Supercross campaign. However, the American’s presence lasted only one round. Barcia suffered a heavy crash at Anaheim 1 in early January, resulting in two fractured vertebrae along with a concussion. Although he avoided surgery, the recovery process has been lengthy.

After several weeks back on the bike, Barcia has decided to return to racing this Saturday in Philadelphia, Round 15 of the championship.

He will rejoin his teammate Dylan Ferrandis, who has been carrying Ducati’s results on his own ever since. The Frenchman has posted ten top-ten finishes, highlighted by a solid sixth place in the recent Cleveland Triple Crown.
