Jorge Prado to Miss Daytona Supercross

JORGE PRADO - RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING - SEATTLE

Jorge Prado Ruled Out of Daytona

After missing the previous round in Arlington, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed that Jorge Prado will also be absent from this Saturday’s iconic Daytona event, which marks Round 10 of the AMA Supercross Championship.

Initial medical evaluations ruled out any major injuries, indicating that the issue stems from “excessive swelling and irritation in the right shoulder joint.” However, the Spanish rider will require at least one additional week of recovery before returning to competition.

Following Daytona, the championship heads to Indianapolis for the second Triple Crown round of the season, followed by a scheduled weekend off. It remains unclear whether Prado will attempt a comeback in Indianapolis or use the break to complete two full weeks of recovery. In that scenario, a potential return could come on March 21 in Birmingham.

Notably, KTM’s official statement was brief and provided no further details regarding his medical progress or a definitive timeline, confirming only his absence for Daytona.
