Injury Update Jorge Prado after Seattle Supercross

JORGE PRADO - RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING - SEATTLE

Round 6 of the AMA Supercross Championship in Seattle turned into a day of highs and lows for Jorge Prado.

The Spanish rider started strong, setting the fastest time in the opening qualifying session and finishing more than a second ahead of Hunter Lawrence. His 50.600 lap time remained unbeaten in Q2, securing him his second consecutive pole position and confirming his speed on the technical Seattle layout.

However, it was during that second qualifying session that things took a dramatic turn. Prado suffered a heavy crash in the small triple following the finish-line jump. After misjudging the second obstacle, he was launched sideways into the berm, prompting an immediate red flag to allow medical staff to assist him on track.

Although Prado was able to walk away under his own power, he was clearly experiencing discomfort in his right shoulder. He did not resume the session, but initial updates from the paddock were reassuring, suggesting no major injuries and indicating he would attempt to race his Heat.

Ultimately, after lining up at the gate, Prado exited shortly after the first corner due to persistent shoulder pain, bringing his Seattle campaign to an early end.

KTM’s official statement was brief and did not include rider comments, confirming only that Prado will undergo further medical evaluations this week.

From a championship standpoint, missing the Main Event drops Prado to tenth in the standings, just two points behind ninth place as the series moves forward.
