Reigning MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre dominated the final round of the 2025 All-Japan Motocross Championship in Sugo, while Yuki Okura (#4) clinched the IA1 (450cc) title in dramatic fashion.

Sugo hosted the season finale of the All-Japan Motocross Championship, highlighted by the two-time MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre cameo. The Frenchman was in a class of his own all weekend, taking both holeshots and leading every lap of the two motos for a flawless 1-1 performance.

Valerio Lata (HRC), in just his second outing aboard a 450 machine, impressed once again with a strong 2-2 score for second overall. The young Italian showed great pace, making several key passes in the early laps of each race. Rounding out the podium was Yamaha’s Kainosuke Oshiro with consistent 3-3 finishes.

Meanwhile, the championship battle took an unexpected turn. Jay Wilson (Yamaha) entered Sugo with a comfortable points lead and looked set to secure his second IA1 crown, but a wrist injury midway through the opening moto forced him out of contention. Unable to start the final race, Wilson’s double DNF opened the door for Honda’s Yuki Okura, who sealed the championship with 8-5 moto scores.
