Italy and Belgium MXoN Team Updates announced

Sacha-Coenen-France-24

Italy and Belgium have had to make last-minute changes to their respective lineups for this year’s Motocross of Nations, to be held October 4, 5 and 6 at Matterley Basin.

ITALY: GUADAGNINI > FORATO

Guadagnini sustained a big crash in the first race of the MXGP of Castilla La Mancha that resulted in a broken collarbone. Guadagnini had been chosen to join the Italian team in the MXGP class, but in view of this situation Alberto Forato, from the Standing Costruct Honda, has been called up to join Andrea Adamo (MX2) and Andrea Bonacorsi (OPEN), which its the same team that last year finished third overall in Ernée, France.

Team Italy Update

  • #7 Alberto Forato (Honda)
  • #8 Andrea Adamo (KTM)
  • #9 Andrea Bonacorsi (Yamaha)

BELGIUM: S.COENEN > VAN DONINCK

For the second time, the Belgian team has had to change its lineup due to a new absence. First Liam Everts was out of action after a heavy crash in China, so his place in OPEN has been taken by Jago Geerts.

On the eve of the Castilla La Mancha GP, the Belgian team released a statement confirming that Brent Van Doninck will join the team to replace Sacha Coenen, who has been out since the last three rounds in due to a knee injury. This last modification has reshuffled the team’s line-up, so Lucas will drop to MX2 and his place will be taken by Van Doninck.

Team Belgium Update

  • #13 Brent Van Doninck (Honda)
  • #14 Lucas Coenen (Husqvarna)
  • #15 Jago Geerts (Yamaha)
