Yamaha Factory Racing and GabrielSS25 KTM Team offers an update about its riders Maxime Renaux and Josh Gilbert after a disappointing MXGP of Spain, Round 2 of the MXGP World Championship. Renaux didn´t take part in the second moto, while Gilbert was ruled out for Sunday´s motos.

Josh Gilbert #326 | Cracked radius:  Upon going out in free practice this morning, Josh’s elbow was weak after riding yesterday and has since been assessed by the onsite medical team, who after further investigation have diagnosed a cracked radius. This unfortunately has ruled Josh out of racing today. The team and Josh specifically are disappointed with this news but we will now focus on the next steps to getting back to full fitness.

Maxime Renaux #959 | Foot: “The foot injury from last year keeps bothering me. I had a lot of pain during the first moto. Really terrible. It is too dangerous to continue riding like this – on one leg. Therefor we decided to skip the second moto. I will now see my doctor to find a solution for this problem as soon as possible, with or without surgery.”
