The former MXGP track of Bellpuig its hosting the third round of the Spanish Motocross Championship. Today were the Time Practice and Qualifying Race for each class, which include points for the Top 5 finishers. Gerard Congost in MX1 and Salvador Perez in MX2, both rookies from their respective classes, earned their first qualiying race wins.
As for the championship standings, Ander Valentin keeps the red play by six points over Congost and seven over Jose Butron. In MX2 Oriol Oliver has a comfortable lead of 27-points over Adria Monne.
