Australia’s best motocross racers will return to action on Sunday for the fourth round of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship, with the national competition heading to the iconic Loy Yang Park track in Traralgon for its first appearance in the series.

PREVIEW MX1

The battle of the ProMX titans continues atop the Kawasaki MX1 Class, with Monster Energy CDR Yamaha’s Jed Beaton (Vic) locked in a duel with last year’s champion, Kyle Webster (Vic). The two have once again asserted their early dominance on the field, and with the Boost Mobile Honda riders’ three-race winning streak, he has closed what was a 22-point gap down to 13.

Occupying the third and fourth place positions are Nathan Crawford (QLD) and Luke Clout (NSW), who are separated by a lone point after three rounds of competition. It was anticipated to be a close match-up between these two entering the season and having switched places for the final step on the podium, the action is living up to the hype.

PREVIEW MX2

Four points sit between the top two in the Pirelli MX2 Championship, with defending champion Brodie Connolly (Vic) and Ryder Kingsford (NSW) having produced stellar racing so far. Connolly has been the pace setter for the most part, while Kingsford’s tenacity is keeping him right in the fight, and setting up for what may be a great battle for the number one plate.

Third placed KTM Racing Team rider Noah Ferguson (QLD), NFAL Honda’s Alex Larwood (SA), and Byron Dennis (NSW) are close on points, with Ferguson holding a five-point advantage over the two who are tied on 94pts apiece. All three will be looking to chase down Polyflor Honda’s Connolly in Traralgon to inch their way closer to the title hunt.
