Welcome back, mate! Aussie legend Hayden Mellross announced he will be racing the last six rounds of the AMA Supercross series as a privateer in the 450SX class.
“Surprise! Well this has been about 6 months worth of planning but we are finally here in the USA! The plan is to race the last 6 rounds of AMA Supercross on the 450. I have worked so hard coming back from injury and with a small group of great people beside me I’m excited to see what we can accomplish. Let’s have some fun!” Wrote Mellross on his social media.
Mellross is well-known in Australia for his supercross skills. He also enjoyed a respectable career in the USA with a ton of top 10 in the 250SX class and solid results in the 450 class. At the end of 2022 season, he sustained a serious finger injury in the Newcastle round of Fox Australia Supercross Championship that ended his season.
