Drama struck the scene early on as Jago Geerts crashed hard with Hakon Osterhagen in the opening lap. The Belgian retired while holding his shoulder and now is in doubt for the second race. Meanwhile, at the front, Andrea Adamo made the pass over holeshot winner Simon Langenfelder for the lead. Liam Everts rode solid in third place while Kevin Horgmo and Lucas Coenen rounded the top five. Another impressive start by Oriol Oliver put him in sixth place ahead of Rick Elzinga and David Bracera. The top 10 was completed by Sacha Coenen and Camden McLellan respectively.

After this race, Adamo has an advantage of 35 points over Geerts.

UPDATE: Geerts Injury Update:

MXGP – RACE 1

Febvre made quick passes over Prado and Seewer to take the lead before the opening lap ended. From there, positions remain the same until the end with an average of 2 seconds among them but without battles. Glenn Coldenhoff was on no-man land ridding 4th the entire race. Vlaanderen rounded the top 5 over Tim Gajser who was pressured by Alberto Forato almost in the end. Herlings came in 8th despite a brief stop at Google Lane. Van Horebeek and Bogers rounded the top 10.

Ruben Fernandez was having a hell of a ride. The Spaniard caught Herlings and was closing distances against Coldenhoff for 4th. However, he crashes hard in the process, going over the bars. He was immediately assisted by the medical crew.

MX2 – RACE 2:

Andrea Adamo takes the victory once again. This time the Italian charged in the early stages from fourth to second, and by lap 7 he made the pass for the lead over his teammate Liam Everts. Everts had his hands full the entire race as he was under pressure by Lucas Coenen before Simon Langenfelder, who crashed in the opening lap, caught both of them for second place as Coenen and Everts finished third and fourth. Rick Elzinga rounded the top five over Sacha Coenen.

Kevin Horgmo and Isak Gifting came in 7th and 8th respectively as Oriol Oliver finished ninth after making his way from the lastest spots due to an early crash in the second corner. Jan Pancar closes the top ten.

The overall goes to Adamo with a perfect 1-1 followed by Simon Langenfelder (2-2) and Liam Everts (4-3)

MXGP – RACE 2

Jorge Prado put a big holeshot over Romain Febvre. The Frenchman sticks behind Prado´s back but wasn´t close enough to attempt a pass. It was a similar story for third place as Glenn Coldenhoff maintain the position over Jeffrey Herlings. Jeremy Seewer got a decent start and settled in fifth over Tim Gajser. Calvin Vlaanderen fought for top five spots but a crash dropped him to seventh. Top ten was completed by Van Horebeek, Otslund and Evans.

Romain Febvre’s streak goes on as he wins his five GP in a row. Jorge Prado (3-1) and Glenn Coldenhoff (4-3) completed the podium
