Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki has announced through its social media that Francisco García will not compete in the ninth round of the EMX250 European Championship this weekend in Lommel.
The Spanish rider has been sidelined due to a left knee injury sustained after a minor crash during a training session.
Fortunately for García, his championship lead is not under threat. The Venum BUD Racing Kawasaki rider heads into the Belgian round with a commanding 104-point advantage over teammate Jake Cannon, a margin built through an outstanding season that has seen him secure five overall victories and 13 moto wins.
Despite missing Lommel, Carbonero remains in a strong position in the title race as the championship enters its decisive stages.
