First pole for Ducati with Lupino topping the MX1 Qualifying in Mantova- Prestige Round 1

The Italian Prestige Motocross Championship 2024 has started in Mantova with the qualifying sessions for the MX1 and MX2 classes. Tomorrow will be gate drops with the typical set of motos for each class.

In the MX1 class, history is made with the debut of the new Ducati Desmo450 MX taking the pole with Alessandro Lupino. The former MXGP rider went 1:48.256 in order to set the fastest time over Guiseppe Tropepe +1.647. Jan Pancar make his MX1 debut by setting the register the best lap on his group but came short of the pole.

The MX2 class has also split into two groups with the reigning champ Valerio Lata taking the pole with a 1:49.668 followed by Saad Soulimani +366. In the second group, the best time went to Nicholas Lapucci 1:50.746.
