Francisco García and Mano Faure Go 1-1 at Matterley Basin European Rounds
Francisco García (BUD Racing Kawasaki) and Mano Faure (MJC Yamaha) dominated the European support classes at the MXGP of Matterley Basin. The ninth round of the EMX250 Championship and the tenth for EMX125 saw both riders sweep their respective classes with flawless 1-1 performances.
In EMX250, García delivered his first career 1-1 and his second overall victory of the season, having previously won in Trentino. The Spaniard rode a calculated and consistent weekend, staying composed in both motos to secure a perfect score. The podium was completed by holeshot ace Ivano Van Erp (VHR Yamaha), who finished 4-3, and García’s teammate Jake Cannon, whose 3-4 result earned the Australian his first-ever podium in the series.
Championship leader Janis Reisulis (VHR Yamaha) struggled with starts all weekend and went 2-9 for fourth overall. Despite the setback, he maintains a 38-point lead over Noel Zanocz (JM Honda), who finished 10-2 for fifth overall.
In EMX125, Mano Faure extended his incredible run with his fifth overall win of the season—his third consecutive 1-1 performance. The French rider is now tied on points with championship leader Nicolo Alvisi (RaceStore KTM), who endured a difficult outing with a 17-2 result. With just two rounds remaining, the EMX125 title fight is wide open.
