EMX Latvia: Cas Valk & Noel Zanocz wins Round 6 in Kegums

The Zelta Zirgs Motocenter near the town of Kegums (Latvia) hosted Round 6 of the EMX250 and EMX125 classes. Cas Valk earned his second overall win of the season and closed the gap against Red-Plate holder Mathis Valin. Meanwhile, in the EMX125 class, current series leader Noel Zanocz extends the championship lead after taking his second win in two solid motos.

EMX250

GabrielSS24 KTM´s Cas Valk went 1-3 in order to win his second overall of the season. In the first moto, Valk fought against the VRT Yamaha duo Karlis Reisulis and Ivano Van Erp. Valk went under pressure from Reisulis until the checkered flag. Race 2 saw a great battle for the lead among Valk, Lata and Reisulis. At the end, Lata took the checkered flag over Reisulis as Valk finished third.

Home hero Karlis Reisulis finished second overall with a pair of 2nd. Valerio Lata rounded the podium after a 4-1 combination. On the other hand, it was a tough weekend for the championship leader Mathis Valin with a 5-5 for 5th overall, losing a couple of points as Valk is now 13 points behind the Frenchman.

Thanks to his impressive consistency, Zanocz came back up to the top step of the podium with a good 2-3 to get in front of Mancini, 2nd overall with 3-4. The podium was rounded by Spaniard Salvador Perez who won the first moto, but a crash early on in Race 2 put him in 12th.
